White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX is such a fantastic location to do any type of photography, especially proposal photos! I had the honor of working with Garrett and Mycah’s moms in order to set this the most awesome proposal photo shoot possible amidst the cold, rainy morning. The nice cloud coverage and cooler weather is always welcome in Texas though lol. We planned out the perfect spot for the picnic setup and how to hide when they both arrived to the location. The leaves were already changing, so the backdrop could not have been prettier in my opinion for photos.
They arrived at the exact time that was needed to finish the setup, thanks to the impromptu Starbucks trip. They went to the picnic setup as I was acting like an innocent bystander sitting on a bench close by, taking “nature shots” lol. He walked her to the walkway of rose and pictures of each year they were together (since high school). It was really well thought out and romantic. Great job Garrett!!! He went on the knee, I got the shots, and she smiled with a “Yes!” response. I was really happy for him.
Next, we did a small engagement session on the grounds of White Rock Lake and just within a small proximity, there were so many beautiful locations to photograph at. We ended with an awesome conversation about how cool Mycah’s Jeep is. Congrats to Garrett and Mycah!! Enjoy the proposal photos and let me know if you need any proposal photography.
